Dear Parents of my Pre-Algebra Students,

I am new here at Jonas Salk. I am writing you this short note for you to get to know me a little better.

Prior to last year, I had been a Middle School Health and Math Teacher in Oroville, California for eight years.  I left the Oroville Elementary School District because I got married last summer. My husband is a teacher with the El Dorado Union High School District. The thought of a long distance marriage wasn't appealing, so, I moved to Sacramento to work for San Juan School District. In addition to being a teacher, I have been an Obstetrical Registered Nurse since 1978. However, I have not practiced nursing since becoming a teacher.

The last school term I was the Director of the Doctor/Nurse Preparatory Program and taught the Freshman class of that program at Encina High School. I missed teaching Middle School. So, here I am back again. I am very excited to be here at Jonas Salk. I know we will have a great learning experience together over the next school year!
