Charles Angelis
My name is Charles Angelis, and for the past decade I have been working in the television and video post-production industry. Some of my biggest credits are for work I've done as a video editor. In 2006, I was the senior editor for a nationally televised hour-long motorsports racing show on The Outdoor Channel. In 2008 I worked as an editor for a nationally televised documentary on the PBS network. My experience also includes working in the camera and editorial departments of 3 local television stations as well as countless corporate, training and promotional projects.

As a teacher, one of my goals is to bring real-world lessons and experience from the industry into the classroom by maintaining a strong connection with the professional community. I am a board member of the Sacramento Video Industry Professionals group and am also an Apple Certified Trainer in Final Cut Pro. Diversity in experience and teaching style is important to me. My background is diverse as well. I was born and raised for part of my life on Rhodes, Greece, an island in the Eastern Mediterranean Sea. Learning with me is a fun adventure ranging from exploration activities to in-depth technical and aesthetic training.
Shea Smith
My name is Shea Smith, and this is my fourth year teaching at New San Juan High School. I come to teaching from a diverse background, having lived in seven different states and one foreign country. My work experience is equally diverse. Prior to teaching, I worked at Granite Bay Golf Club and more recently at E*TRADE Financial. My business experience, coupled with my love of open-source technologies, social media, and semantic web applications brings new learning opportunities to the computer lab classroom.

In case you haven't heard, New San Juan High School is different. Naturally, my classroom is different. I believe my Computer Applications and Digital Imaging courses will offer students the chance to explore technology and connectivity in a brand new way. It may be challenging, and it may stretch your mind. Learning in my computer lab is a two-way street, because I hope you can share your ideas with me, too. I'm still learning.
