Agriculture Science 1
Agriculture Science 1 will cover the subjects of livestock animals, plants, natural resources, California Agriculture and FFA. Students will explore through each of these subjects and will gain new knowledge about the field of Agriculture. Students will be required to have a Supervised Agriculture Experience Project. These projects can consist of raising an animal for the county fair, growing plants to sell, raising ducks, fish, rabbits, turkeys, chickens or they can have the chance to do work experience related to agriculture. If students cannot have an animal we will be planting plants as a class project. In addition we have a worm farm that we would like to solicit to local fisherman for bait uses. We have an excellent school farm that is able to house pigs, sheep, goats, chickens, ducks, fish, rabbits and plants. This allows students the option to keep an animal at school if the land is not available at home. Please do not explore the farm without the permission of the agriculture instructors.
Parents: Students do not have to raise an animal, it is an option. If a student really wants to raise an animal please talk to me before purchasing.
