The eighth grade United States history course provides students with a study of America’s past from the formation of our government and the study of the Constitution through the growth of America and the second Industrial Revolution. Students will also be provided with an opportunity to fine-tune their geography skills, research skills, and writing skills. In addition, students will analyze historical documents, be involved with student centered, hands-on projects, and demonstrate debating and trial skills. Assignments will be based on the California State Standards for 8th grade Social Studies.
