Classroom News Week of 9/21/09 Language Arts: This week, we will be continuing our selection Climb or Die. A story of two children stranded on an ice capped mountain. Our Reading Strategy is Predict and Infer and Comprehension Skill of the week is Sequence of Events. Math: I am pleased with so many of room 12 students working so hard in class and on their homework to practice the skills that are learned. They are learning great study habits and it shows! :) MULTIPLICATION FACTS: Unfortunately, many students in room 12 still do not know their multiplication facts. This is making the 6th grade curriculum very difficult. Students should know their facts by heart (this was supposed to be done in 3rd grade). We are continuing to work on them in class, but I cannot do it alone. PLEASE PRACTICE MATH FACTS EACH NIGHT!!!!!!!! Supplies: We are always in need of kleenex, clorox wipes, hand sanitizer, white board markers, socks (for erasers), and pencils. Any donations are greatly appreciated. Thank You
