Welcome to Mr. Grove's Site
Mr. Jim Grove has been teaching for 36 years. His first year of teaching was at James Lick High School in San Jose. He taught biology and chemistry at El Camino High School for 21 years and has been teaching at Casa Roble for the past 14 years. Mr. Grove has also taught chemistry at Jesuit High School for 17 summers. He currently teaches biology, chemistry and AP chemistry. Mr. Grove has both a BA and an MA in Biological Sciences and a minor in Chemistry.
Mr. Grove moved from El Camino when two of his three children were students at Casa Roble. He had his son Jeremy in class twice and his daughter Jamie three time. Jeremy teaches middle school science in Napa and Jamie is a special education teacher currently teaching in Hong Kong. Mr. Grove's is in business with his oldest son Matt who is a professional photographer with a degree in photography. Together Mr. Grove and Matt own a bluishness in Orangevale called Grove Photography. There is a link on this page to his photography business. Mr. Grove's wife of 37 years is a kindergarten teacher at Ottomon Elementary School.
