Mission Avenue Open School
As the part-time computer technician at Mission Avenue Open School, I am the "front-line" person to resolve software and hardware issues with the computers at the school. Those that I cannot resolve are submitted to the district's Tech Services for resolution. Since I resolve minor problems quickly, this allows the computers to be up and running a majority of the time and frees up Tech Services to focus on more challenging problems. I also keep track of the computer/ peripheral inventory at the school, make teachers aware of upcoming training and help make software/hardware recommendations.
In addition to these responsibilities, I maintain the website for the school and handle the inkjet cartridge recycling program at Mission. Inkjet and laser printer cartridges are turned in to a local business and funds used to purchase filled inkjet cartridges for the classroom printers. This is a program that is working for our teachers and classrooms!
While we always appreciate computer/printer donations, please keep in mind that our classrooms are equipped with Macintosh computers. Also, as we continue to migrate over to the latest OS X technology, not all donations are compatible with the new operating systems. Please feel free to contact me before making any donations.
My working hours are as follows:
Mondays and Wednesdays 8:00 am - 12:00 pm
Fridays 8:00 am - 10 am
