A Parent and Student guide to help keep up to date with the ILS program, Bella Vista's schedules and student events.

Welcome to the ILS classes at Bella Vista. 

We are actually 2 classes here at Bella Vista. 

• Ms. Brown teaches Freshman/Sophomore students

• Ms. Friedman teaches the Junior/Senior students. 

While the classes are separate, all staff and teachers work with each other

to form a cohesive unit that focuses on making sure all students are

supported in all their classes and during High School and ILS events.

Each class has its own 'personality'.  Classes focus on beginning &

 advanced ILS skills. 

OUR MISSION 

The ILS program here at Bella Vista focuses on getting students ready to meet the 'real' world after they have graduated from San Juan School District.  We do this by helping them learn skills in the community, cooking, banking and budgeting, scheduling, social skills, on the job skills and more.

OUR EXPECTATIONS

• All our students in the ILS classes are expected to follow Bella Vista & classroom rules.  

• Have students  become Mature, Responsible Teenagers.  They will be able to make their own decisions concerning their future to the best of thier abilities. 

• To fully experience High School along with all their peers that attent Bella Vista.

    We try to guide and support our students in making decisions that are both right for them and the people they care for.  With this in mind, we hope that all students who come into our program will find enjoyment in the high school experience and also a sense of independence and confidence to face their future when it is time to graduate and move on to the next level.

We are very proud to say that Bella Vista's ILS students over the years have graduated to move on to have jobs and enter college programs.  We will work very hard to help & support our new, incoming students to do the same.
