"Thank you for the wonder concert Wednesday night...The music was wonderful. The hard work and enthusiasm of parents, supporters, director, and students is very apparent...I was seated near your three attending school board members and I told them what a wonderful program they have. I serve as school board president in Haven, Kansas. We must protect and promote fine arts in our schools. Our kids deserve the best."  --David Pryor, U.S. AgBank, Wichita, Kansas

Students wishing to receive Honors Concert Band Credit at El Camino High School must meet, with a passing grade, several prerequisites and requirements as outlined below.  All student work will be completed via a contract between Mr. Glaser and the student, which will be in the form of a “check-off” list.  Students wishing to following through with the contract obligations will meet with Mr. Glaser individually and will perform the required work through scheduled appointments outside of regular class time.

Mr. Glaser will take the responsibility to explain and teach the work to be completed by the student.  Mr. Glaser will provide handouts, Internet website, recordings, and verbal communication to assist in the student’s learning.  The student must take the responsibility to learn and perform the required work.  The required work is divided into two semesters.

The student may work at his or her own pace, providing the first semester tasks are accomplished prior to the Fall semester finals, and the second semester tasks are accomplished prior to the Spring semester finals. Students are encouraged to pace themselves accordingly, do not wait until the last minute to complete the required tasks, and consider that Mr. Glaser has a busy schedule that must be considered when making appointments to complete a task or ask for assistance.
