For third quarter, we will be focusing on a poetry unit, persuasive writing, and continuing with informational materials.
The poetry books were turned in last week. Here is the order for the books:
1. Bio poem
2. Rhyming poem (with rhyme scheme)
3. I Am (alliterations underlined) poem
4. Haiku (5-7-5 syllables) two poems
5. Concrete (shape) two poems
6. Limericks (2)
7. Diamond (2)
The English department will be implementing an intervention study hall on Thursdays during lunch. Students who are missing work from the previous week will be called in for lunch study hall on Thursdays to get help and make up missing work. If a student fails to show up for the study hall, he/she will receive a referral to serve PASS lunch detention. Students in PAWs lunch will be exempt from this policy as they are already in an intervention program.
Grades can be accessed online through Zangle. Logins and passwords were distributed at Back to School Night. Contact the school to get your password.
