All About Mrs. Thompson
Things You Should Probably Know In Order For Us To Get Along:
- My preferred method of contact is via e-mail.
- I enforce the tardy policy. Please be on time.
- I do not accept late work. Check the class guidelines if you're unsure about what "late" means.
Things You've Always Wanted To Know But Were Afraid To Ask:
- I've been teaching since 1993, and teaching at El Camino since 1996. Yes, that IS probably longer than you've been alive. Thanks for pointing that out though - I wasn't feeling OLD enough today!
- I'm married to my best friend, Mr. Thompson, who has also been teaching at EC since 1996.
- Yes, we met at school (we call it "work"). We're very cute that way. You can tell by our picture.
- I love office supplies. Yes, that includes staplers, paper clips, and even those rubber finger grippy things that you use so you don't have to lick your fingers.
- I hate okra, and I'm allergic to hazelnuts. "Hate" is too weak of a word to use in describing my feelings for okra. If you have me in class, you already know this.
- I have an unholy obsession with good Reality TV. That means I like "Survivor," "The Amazing Race," "Kid Nation," and even "America's Next Food Network Star," but not "Big Brother," "Project Runway," or "The Hills." I said good Reality TV. UPDATE: I have been informed that "Project Runway" IS good Reality TV - and so, in the interest of keeping the peace in 5th Period (Jillian!) - I shall concede that "Project Runway" may not be so bad. Maybe. :-)
- I'm a Digiscrapper. Go on, TRY to make fun of me. I dare you. I'll just digiscrap you.
- The rumors are true: I DID live in China for a while, and I DID see spiders as large as my hand while I was there.
