Your child should have brought home a progress note and the AR point/test list. Please return the signed sheet that was attached.

Dates to Remember:
Olympic Reading Due February 12th. We already have 11 students make it to Vancouver and are reading for a medal!!!

6 Flags reading is due February 24. Make sure you sign the form before turning it in.

President's week vacation: February 15th-February 19th!
Reminder: Thursday is an early out day.
Students are released at 12:55!

Language Arts:

We are working on complete sentences with a subject and a verb/action word. Students will need to identify both of these in a sentence. Now is a great time of year to have your child write thank you notes. This practice will benefit them and get them into the habit of letter writing.

•••SECRET WORD: Perseverance - Look up the definition of the word. How do Olympians have perseverance?

*****PLEASE READ: Since we have a student in our classroom that is allergic to peanuts, we are asking that no one bring items with peanut butter in for snack. This includes crackers with peanut butter in the middle, trail mix with peanuts, or anything else with peanuts . These items may be eaten at lunch though. Thank you for following this request.

Students are required to have a pleasure reading book in their desk at all times. Your child may bring a book from home. Make sure this book is labeled with your child's name.
