It's that time of the year where families gather for feasting and children's faces light up with excitement. We have to remember that this is also one of the most valuable teaching times of the year. Testing adds anxiety to an already exhilarating time. Take this time to remind children of how to behave at school and reward them for all the positive strides they are making. Forgive the little things and give occasional reminders. It will make our classroom a better place as well as your home. Be looking for the progress notice in the mail.
Conference Change
Please note that conferences and minimum days have been pushed back by one week. They will now be held December 7-11. I will be sending home a schedule for conferences in early November. Be sure to send it back as soon as possible to get your first choice.
Accelerated Reader Your child is required to read an AR book and pass at least one quiz each week. The more your child reads at home, the more confident a reader he/she will become.
