Hello Parents and Students, 

As we approach the last trimester, we are also preparing for the upcoming STAR test next month. Please check your child's planner every night for a list of home work assignments. Your child will have homework for math and language arts every night in preparation for the STAR test. Attendance is very important and every day missed will affect your child's progress.  If your child is absent please make sure they get the homework to make up.  I am available every day at lunch to help your child get caught up. 

My math students will be entering the most challenging part of the math standards for both Pre-Algebra and Algebra.  Please make sure your child is doing all their homework!  Test scores are greatly affected by homework return.  Remember that test/quizzes are 75% of their math grade.  If they are not doing their homework, they will not be successful on their test. STAR test scores will affect their math placement for high school.
