About Me
My name is Melissa Stockbridge and I am the Site Coordinator at Thomas Edison. This is my seventh year of being a site coordinator with the San Juan Unified School District and my fourth year working at Edison. I am huge fan of having fun and bringing new ideas and activities into the lives of children.

About Bridges
Building Bridges to Student Success
 The San Juan Unified School District's comprehensive Bridges After-School Program provides FREE academic intervention and pro-social enrichment in a safe and positive environment. The Bridges After-School Program currently serves 3,500 students grades 1st-12th at 32 sites. Students realize academic success through the implementation of each of the four components of the program: academic support, enrichment/disguised learning, pro-social skills/recreation, and parent support and empowerment. In order for a student to be successful in the program, strong relationships between program staff, school staff, parents and students are needed. Relationships are key!
To enroll your child, please fill out the forms below and return them to the school office. I will contact you when there is a space available for your child to start.
About Bridges Leaders
Erica: Hi, I am a full time student at American River College and I am going to school to become a school psycologist. This is my thirs year working with the Bridges program, and I love it!! Thomas Edison is the best site... by far! Sheena: Hello! I love working with all different grades but if you want to find me you can with my combo class with the wonderful 4th,5th and 6th graders! I love to play with the kids probably way too much but is that really a bad thing? Shanti: Hey everybody:) It's me... Shanti! Oh, look at that! I'm a poet and I didn't even know it! :) Well first off, I think I am the funnest leader!!! I love rec time. It is time when the students and leaders can get together and enjoy our time playing and having fun! This is my fourth year here at Bridges and I even was a student here at Edison in Elementary School! I enjoy seeing the changes and look forward to new and exciting adventures:) Rob: What's up you guys? It's Mr. Rob. Cuurently, while working at Bridges, I am working as a student towards becoming a psycologist. I love to have fun at work, but my students also know what I expect; We get our work done first, then we can play! I look forward to a great year with all the students.
