3rd graders love to share themselves with an audience of their peers. Even the shyest child will proudly discuss rock collections, family vacation photos, favorite books and their Superstar poster!
I have organized a Superstar Calendar to guarantee that every child in Room 10 has his or her day in the spotlight. This is not supposed to be a stressful experience for you or your child. I will send the poster home at least one week ahead of your child's Superstar Week. This will allow you to sit down together and discuss answers, find photos and choose items to be shared. We will interview your child on Wednesday of his or her week. Superstar is intended to be a celebration of your child's life!
During this week, your child may share music, artwork, collections, books, family collectibles, dolls, small pets inside of an enclosed habitat (please check with me before bringing in any pet)! One special edible treat may be brought in to share with the other children during your child's week! Each Superstar is responsible for bringing in stickers for the Homework Packets. The Superstar collects the packets on Thursday morning, places a sticker on the appropriate date and returns all packets to the Homework box.
I fully understand that last minute changes may be required to accommodate family needs. Feel free to exchange dates with another child once you have gotten that family's okay. Please don't forget to let me know so that I can provide the chart to the right child.
