Explorers to the New World Challenge coming in November
February 2010
We'll be exchanging treats with our class and our buddy class Friday, February 12th. Please send enough treats for 34 students with plates, napkins, and cups if necessary. I appreciate your support.
Please look over your child's work in the assessment binder, if you get a chance. It's important for some assignments to be made up in order for students to demonstrate mastery of concepts through extra practice. If there is a test to be made up, students must consult with me to coordinate an appropriate make up.
If you have field trip pictures to submit for our year book page, please have them in to me before March 1st.
We're learning how to write a persuasive essay. We brainstormed topics to get the creative juices flowing. Now we're researching facts to base our occasion position statements. We'll be sure to address appropriate audiences and be solution oriented in our conclusions. The end of trimester two is March 12th.
State Reports will be introduced after Spring Break and due on Success Night, May26th. Look for packets coming home to sign on April 5th.
