Del Campo JROTC
Junior ROTC (Aerospace Science) has been a part of the Del Campo curriculum since 1986 and is very popular with students. we typically have over 100 cadets enrolled in the program. We take pride in maintaining "Distinguished Unit" status as we teach aviation history, the principles of flight, cultural awareness, space technology, rocketry, time management, self-discipline, leadership, management, and teamwork. Student cadets take ROTC one academic period a day as they would any other course and have an opportunity to enjoy after-hours activities such as field trips, orientation flights, and community service projects. Students learn self-reliance responsibility and respect in Del Campo ROTC through attaining leadership roles. We have JROTC nominations to the Air Force Academy, West Point, and Annapolis. We also help award Air Force college scholarships to students who qualify. Cadets that complete three years of high school JROTC who enlist in the military recieve E-3 status, and make approximately $300 more per month than regular enlistees. Although JROTC is a military paralleled program, it does not have any military obligations, it only benefits you if you choose to enlist after high school.
