Mr. Montbriand's Chemistry
Dear students and parents Here is a brief definition of Chemistry (from Egyptian keme (chem), meaning "earth") is the science concerned with the study of interactions of chemical substances with one another and energy based on the structure of atoms, molecules and other kinds of aggregates. It is also a field of study to investigate the physical and chemical properties of substances from the subatomic to macromolecular scale, such as molecules or crystals. Chemistry can be called "the central science" because it connects the other natural sciences, such as astronomy, physics, material science, biology, and geology. I can best be contacted via email at the following address: pmontbriand@sanjuan.edu or go to the upper right hand corner of any page on my web site and click on the black/white envelope. I look forward to a fun and exciting year teaching! Mr. Montbriand
