Geometry Class
Pasteur Middle School - Mathematics Department
Welcome to Mr. R's Geometry class.
Here are the essential topics you need to know in order to be successful in class. . .
Supplies Needed 1. A math journal (not spiraled). 2. Plenty of graph paper and ruled binder paper (not spiraled). 3. Two (2) sharpened pencils (NO PENS ARE ALLOWED IN CLASS). 4. One compass, one ruler and one protractor. 5. An open mind and a willingness to learn. Homework Students will receive an assignment page every Friday that states all the homework they will need to complete for the following week. Students should expect approximately 20-30 minutes of homework each night. All assignments must be completed with a PENCIL. No pens are allowed. Student Absence / Tardy It is the responsibility of the student to make-up any tests or class-work they missed. A student is considered tardy if they are not in their assigned seat when the class bell rings. Three tardy days in one quarter will result in a referral and a call home.
GRADING Every academic grade is based on the combined percentage of all work for each SEMESTER (1st and 2nd Quarters are one continuous grading period called the First Semester). Your scores on Tests are worth approximately 70% of your grade. A = 90%+ B = 80 – 89% C = 70 – 79% D = 60 – 69% F = 59% and lower
