sbabcock@sanjuan.edu. Communication is essential to a working partnership between your child and middle school. Join the adventure! Who is Mrs. Babcock? I have been teaching for over 22 years, grades 2, 4, 6, 7, and 8. It seems like I like variety! Graduating from Sac State, I majored in history and minored in theatre arts. My other passion is English which led me to obtain a Masters in Reading from the University of LaVerne. Married for over 35 years, I have two children -- Jennie who teaches first grade and Kevin who is a computer software engineer. Both are married and live in the area. Last year I became a grandmother and now have two adorable grandchildren -- Gianna who turns one in September and Graham who is six months old. They are my joys! My other "children" are Roxy, my wild poodle/cocker spaniel/terrier dog and Cappuccino, my aloof cat. Grades Grades will be posted online, available to parents at all times. Students need to check their points and assignments to see if they are accurate. If there is an error, students need to bring the work to class so that the appropriate changes may be made. Mrs. Babcock's Top Ten survival Tips 1. Laugh. 2. Write assignments in your agenda. 3. Read directions. 4. Read directions a second time. 5. Do quality work the first time. 6. Always put your name (first and last) on an assignment. 7. Keep your binder organized. 8. Budget your time. 9. Procrastination hurts. 10. Remember to say, "I can!."
