It's amazing to me how quickly the time passes! How can it be January already?? I hope that your family had a wonderful time and enjoyed every minute of being together during Winter Break. I know that I certainly did. What a wonderful opportunity to spend time with my husband, mother, children, grandchildren, and friends. So many memories were made during those two weeks!

Now it's time to gear up again here at school. We're all (students and teachers!) trying to get back into the swing of things. We look forward to a busy month. Our class is just completing the last story in theme 3, Incredible Stories, in reading. Next week we'll be testing the skills we've worked on. In math we're continuing with our study of geometric shapes and angles. Social Studies finds us further exploring the Indian nations of long ago and today. Then, of course, the children are also working hard in science and writing. Busy, busy, busy!

Many thanks to all of you who have been able to assist our class this month. It helps the class run smoother and all of us enjoy having visitors in our class.
