Field Trip Information

April 28th we will be going to B Street Theatre to see Beauty and the Beast. The cost is $10 per student and parent. I could use one more driver for this trip.

We are also planning another April field trip to the Folsom Zoo. Our Jog A Thon money will pay for this trip for students and parents. I will let you know of the date and time as soon as I confirm.

The end of the trimester is in two weeks. I will be contacting parents if you need to come in for a parent conference. If you would like a conference, and have not been contacted, please let me know.

Math Update

We are finished teaching all of the times tables. Please help your child memorize these by buying flash cards, or orally practicing each evening. The students who pass all of their facts timed tests will get a party in May. This week your children will be taking the district math assessment.

Reading

We are on the animal unit and students have been working on an animal report. Ask your child to tell you 4 facts they've learned about their animal. We are also working on summarizing stories.

The students have two weeks to meet their Accelerated Reading goal. I will send home a new report next week.
