Parents and Families,

Welcome to Kindergarten!  I am anxious to start off a new school year!  We have lots of fun in store this year and we will start it off with the Volunteer Fair on Thursday, August 20th.  Please come and sign up for important jobs, including classroom volunteering.  I am really rallying for as many volunteers as I can this year to run my reading program the way I want to.  I am hoping to have 2 parents daily for our centers to help facilitate activities.  Our reading aide, Mrs. Meyer, will not be returning due to budget cuts and this will be a huge loss to our program.  I am hoping to train a few parents to teach certain components of our language arts curriculum so that I am able to continue teaching reading in small groups.  More explanation of my plan will come at Back to School Night on Thurs. September 3rd. 

We will also have a casual "Meet the Teacher" get-together on Friday, August 21st from 4:00-5:00pm in our classroom.  Please bring your classroom supplies to sort, remember that all items are for whole-class use, so no need to write individual names on items. 

Then, it's time for school to begin!  See you on our first day, Monday, August 24th at 8:15 am!  Remember to plan on staying with your Kinder for the first hour and a half before being dismissed to the MP room to enjoy treats with fellow Kindergarten parents!  See you soon!
