The City of Citrus Heights is home to 12 San Juan Unified schools, where we offer preschool, transitional kindergarten and K-12 learning experiences for students. We are preparing students for the 21st century with state-of-the-art technology, upgraded facilities and small class sizes. Come explore our campuses!
Early Learning Options
Nine of our Citrus Heights schools will soon begin enrolling for transitional kindergarten and kindergarten for the 2020-21 school year. Our schools offer several different options to meet your child’s needs, from transitional kindergarten to traditional full-day and modified-day kindergarten. Onsite before- and after-school programs are also available through the Discovery Club and Bridges programs.
Our transitional kindergarten and kindergarten programs can provide a well-rounded beginning to your child’s education. With hands-on activities, art and technology learning opportunities, your child will develop the building blocks necessary to excel in one of our district’s Citrus Heights schools.
Registration begins Feb. 4 for transitional kindergarten and Feb. 11 for kindergarten at San Juan Central, our enrollment center, located at 3700 Garfield Ave. in
Carmichael. Please bring two proofs of residence in the San Juan Unified School District, proof of age and a current immunization record. We will also host a kindergarten enrollment fair on Thursday, March 12, from 8:30 a.m. to noon, at the Sunrise Tech Center located at 7322 Sunrise Blvd. in Citrus Heights.
