District groups offer opportunity for student voice

Establishing peer supports. Improving school climate. Reducing stigma. Creating safe space. High school students from across San Juan Unified are coming together to promote equity and share student voice through three unique groups.

New grant will help San Juan Unified schools create more positive learning environments

Part of ensuring students are academically successful is making sure they have a safe, welcoming and positive place to learn. The Learning Communities for School Success Program is a new grant that will help San Juan Unified build on current programs and implement new ones. The goal is to create more positive climates to improve attendance in select, middle and high schools in the district.
