• Heidi Castiaux is the fifth grade Rapid Learner teacher at Deterding Elementary School.  She has been teaching for eight years, all in the San Juan Unified School District.  This is her third year teaching in the RL program.  Ms. Castiaux currently holds a Master of Arts in Cross-Cultural Education and is a GATE certified instructor.  She keeps busy at Deterding Elementary by running the Math team, the Science Olympiad team, the Odyssey of the Mind team, and the National Honor Society.
