Parent Involvement

  • Dear Encina Parent/Guardian:

    We, the staff at Encina Preparatory High School take our responsibility to provide an education for your student(s) very seriously. We believe that this responsibility includes communicating with parents and involving parents in decisions that affect you and/or your student(s). Preparing students for post-high school life is a joint responsibility. You as parents, and we as the school must work together so that we are successful.

    Parental involvement means that you as parents participate in regular two-way, and meaningful communication involving your student’s academic learning and other school activities including ensuring the following:

    1. That you play an integral role in assisting in your child’s learning;
    2. That we encourage you to be actively involved in your child’s education at school;
    3. That you are full partners in your child’s education and are included, as appropriate, in decision-making and on advisory committees to assist in the education of your child.

    We, the staff, pledge that we will to the best of our ability, continue to reach out to you and to be responsive to your input. We will speak with you in your native language if you request it. We also ask you to encourage your student to regularly attend classes and to work hard in his or her classes.
