English as a Second Language

    English as a Second Language (ESL) classes for adults in the Greater Sacramento area, are offered at beginning to intermediate levels on a continuous basis. These classes focus on communication for work, home, school, and the community, and help develop and improve communication skills in listening, speaking, reading, and writing. Students improve their English grammar, gain important life skills, and learn more about American culture.

    {At this time, all ESL registration is being done on-line.  Please click on this link to complete our ESL Registration Form.}  Please watch this website for updates as they become available. 

     

    There are regular registration times at all three sites, see chart below for dates, times and locations. The classes are FREE.

    All students must attend ESL testing and registration intake to determine appropriate level for class placement. For more information email us at: Adult.Education@sanjuan.edu or call (916) 971-7654. Please arrive on time and allow one to two hours to complete testing, orientation and placement process.   NO CHILDREN PLEASE.
