I am Mrs. Tannehill and I teach Intro to Ag Science, Ca Agriculture, Floral Design as well as Foods and Nutrition. The Intro course includes content on, FFA, plant science, livestock management of pigs, sheep, goats and cattle, Careers, and Ca agriculture. The advanced ag course includes in depth information into the systems of the livestock animals, genetics, ag issues, advanced plant science, and animal health. Floral Design incorporates the elements and principles of design, the floral industry, shapes of arrangements, and pricing. In addition students have the opportunity to have a hands on approach with designing basic floral arrangements. All of the classes associated with Agriculture incorporate the FFA program. This program allows students to expand their leadership skills and allows them to participate in a Supervised Agricultural Experience Program. This can look like volunteering or working at an Ag related business, raising an animal or growing plants, as well as, helping with a non-ownership project.
