California Healthy Kids Survey (CHKS) 2015
CHKS is the largest statewide survey of resiliency, protective factors, and risk behaviors in the nation. It is a critical component of school improvement efforts to help guide the development of more effective health, prevention, and youth development programs. The data may be used for site strategic planning. The survey is also a requirement for various federal and state grants that our district receives.
The most recent administration of CHKS in the district was in Spring 2015 for 7th grade students district wide and for all students at El Sereno High School.
All surveys were completed on-line and included the Core and School Climate Modules.
9th and 11th grade students were last surveyed in Spring 2014 using the Core and School Climate Modules. The Spring 2014 Main Report can be viewed here.
The next district wide administration of CHKS with 7th, 9th, and 11th grades and non-traditional schools will be in Spring 2017. Administration will be on-line using the Core and School Climate Modules.
