Help your child be more independent.  Once you've set up these programs, your child would be able to do their work with the help of their own personal reader.

For Mac Users:

1. click on System Preferences
2. click on Speech
3. click on Text to Speech
4. click on Speak selected Text when key is Pressed
5. click on Set Key
6. click on option S

Highlight any text that you want to hear!  Click on option S.  Your computer will speak the text.  Click on option S again to stop.
