Ms. Osborn-Iratene

I was born in Illinois, and moved to Northern California when I was nine years old.  I graduated from CSUS with a BA in Psychology and a minor in English, and then I got my teaching credential at Chapman University.  Since then I have taken more classes to add authorizations to my teaching credential, and also earned my M.S. Instructional Technology at National University.  I started out student teaching at an elementary school, and followed my students to their feeder middle school. I loved teaching middle school at the districts former bilingual center schools for eleven years, and then I became a Language Specialist at Encina, Carmichael elementary, and now I am at several middle and high schools supporting English Learners, their teachrs, and their families.  I have been teaching in SJUSD for over 20 years, but I do try to hide that gray in my hair that I have so earned. My family includes my 10 year old son, Kaden, and my boyfriend Nathan and his son Alex, who is also 10 years old.

I enjoy traveling with my family and friends when I can, and enjoy being out in nature, hiking, camping, and wine tasting. Most of my time is spent either on work, or helping the 10 year old boys in my house to pursue their interests of sports, music, legos, Star Wars, and anything Marvel.  Sometimes I also enjoy just a little time with friends getting my nails done or enjoying a nice restaurant and conversation.

  • I am at Del Campo generally on Tuesdays.  During CELDT testing though, I am at several different sites testing,  I also use my office at Del Campo Wednesday-Friday when I am supporting my outreach sites.
