    Welcome to
    Starr King K-8!

I have been providing counseling services to Starr King K-8 on a full time basis since the 2013-2014 School year, however I have maintained an office at Starr King since the 2011-2012 school year as I was responsible for all of the K-8 Schools in the District at that time. Prior to that (2005-2011) I served the students of Greer Elementary.

If you have a counseling question, concern or would like to make an appointment to see me, you may contact me by sending an E-mail message (see link below) or you may leave a detailed message on my voicemail at 916-971-7320 (Option 5) and I will return your call as soon as possible. However, if you have an emergency, please do not leave a message on the voicemail.

Please remember that school counseling is not therapeutic in nature and is short-term, solution focused on academics, social/emotional wellness and college/career interest based. If you need a referral to see an outside therapist/counselor, I can provide contact information about the process if you have MediCal coverage. If you maintain private insurance, you must notify your primary care physician for that information.

Parents, students who have a certain time of day and space to do their homework are more academically successful! It is also important to take advantage of using your school issued planner daily so that your student can gain important organizational skills necessary for academic and career success!
