• Math Syllabus Instructor:  Mr. Le Email:  Jeff.le@sanjuan.edu Website for textbook: my.hrw.com  Math 7:   Grading: Your grade is based on individual effort.  You earn your grade.  It will be composed of 3 weighted components:
    60% Individual Tests
    10% Team Tests
    20%Quizzes
    10% Homework.
Homework: (10%)will be given everyday unless otherwise instructed.  Homework will be graded on a basis of credit or no credit.  1 point or 0 point.   If you do not show work then it is no credit.
Quizzes (20%): Quizzes will be given throughout the chapter.   At times I will give group quizzes where I will grade one individual out of the group.  This score will be everyone’s score in that group.  At this time I expect individuals to work together to better understand the concept.
Individual Tests/Projects/Benchmark (60%): Cumulative concepts from a Unit.
Team Tests (10%): Students will be given a team test and are expected to work within the group.  The team test will be graded as one grade and each member will receive that mark.
Re-takes:  At times I will offer a re-take on a chapter test.   Student will have to fix every mistake on the original test on a separate sheet. Absent Work: A student that is absent will be given the same amount of days they were absent to make up the work for full credit, unless special arrangements were made.  After that amount of days it becomes a late assignment.
Late Assignments:  Late assignments are worth half of the total points assignment was worth.  Late assignments can be turned in all the way to the time of the chapter test.  Once the chapter test has been taken no assignments will be taken for that chapter.
