    LTEL Summer School 2021

    For LTEL Students Entering Grades 6 - 12

    LTEL Summer School will provide 200 SJUSD EL students in grades 6-12th the opportunity to recover learning loss due to the COVID-19 Pandemic. Students will learn to navigate technology platforms and have bilingual staff at hand available to mentor and support them throughout the six week program. High school students will have the opportunity to earn10 credits towards graduation. Students in grades 6-8 will use Language Launch to strengthen English proficiency and pass the ELPAC assessment. The program will have interactive field trips and guest speakers to foster intrinsic motivation and increase academic outcomes. Students will be eligible for this program based on LTEL, EL classification, teacher or counselor recommendations. The program will be in-person from June 14, 2021 to July 23, 2021 with class sizes of 20 students.
