    A primary concern for any school is the safety of the children. To this end, we ask that if you plan to volunteer at our school (in any capacity) please access the district fingerprinting process. Any person who wishes to accompany a teacher on a field trip MUST have fingerprint records on file. Do not wait! Do it now! It's easy!

    1. See the school secretary in the office; provide your name, DOB, last 4 digits of your SSN;
    2. Take the provided form to the district office (Walnut Avenue in Carmichael);
    3. Get fingerprinted;
    4. Results from the Department of Justice are sent to the district within four weeks. These are forward immediately to the school secretary.

    You do NOT need to be fingerprinted each year. If you have been fingerprinted through SJUSD in the past four-five years, but were not at Mariposa at the time, we are able to access those records through the use of the information in #1 above. Just see our school secretary.
