This six session class is for parents who are looking for long-term parenting skills that will encourage their children to think for themselves, become more responsible and have a greater respect for themselves and others. The teachings of Positive Discipline are filled with non-punitive, respectful methods that will incorporate kindness and firmness into parenting, help parents get to the core of their child’s misbehavior, bring joy into the home and give parents a sense of accomplishment.
Parent Project Jr. – Loving Solutions
This seven week class is a program for parents with children, ages 5-12, who are experiencing difficult behavior. It provides guidelines for parents to gain substantial behavior changes, get along better with siblings, improve school success, and address ADD/ADHD issues. $50 one person fee or $65 for a couple sharing the book.
Parent Project Sr.
Nationally proven program for those raising today’s strong-willed, sometimes out-of-control teens. Learn how to prevent or stop alcohol and other drug use, put a stop to arguments forever, improve grades and school attendance, recognize and prevent gang involvement, deal with defiance. Location and fee to be announced.
This six-week class is designed for families going through the divorce-mediation process and will meet court requirements. Participants will learn new methods of communication to benefit their child, how to deal with changes, and tips for setting rules in two houses. Birth parents should take this class separately. $60 fee
