Class Parties

  • Generally, there will be three class parties permitted during the school year.  These are shared at Back to School Night. Parties will maintain respect for students’ cultural and religious beliefs, following district guidelines. Additionally, they will avoid using an excessive amount of instructional time, or expense, occurring at the end of the day, for no more than one hour. Food provided at parties MUST follow the district board policies and guidelines and must be store-bought. If you wish to help with these, you should let your child’s teacher know in advance.  If your child is not permitted to participate in the activity, he/she should nonetheless be present for the instructional part of the day.
