The course begins with an overview of early American History through the Reconstruction Era. Major areas of inquiry include industrialization, reform, World War I, Depression and New Deal, World War II, Cold War, Civil Rights, Watergate and contemporary issues. Students will be exposed to how each era in American History defines the Constitution as a living document.
