Support Centers
One component of the district’s larger MTSS effort is the creation of Support Centers. Support Centers are groups of elementary and middle schools where 40 percent or more of students are low income or English learners that receive services from a multi-disciplinary team made up of school social workers, counselors, school psychologists, academic intervention specialists, social-emotional support technicians, mental health therapists and a nurse. Team members, working in collaboration with site staff, help to address the needs of students, families, and staff at each site. Support Center staff are available to assist sites with Tier 1 system-wide issues, to help build systems to address more intensive Tier 2 and Tier 3 needs, and to provide direct service to students and families.
The Support Centers currently serve three regions within the district. The following table shows the schools within each region:Arlington Heights
