Hello and welcome Gold River Discovery Center Miners and families!
On campus or off. In front of a Chromebook or pencil to paper. No matter where or how the students learn and the teachers teach, your GRDC PTO is committed to staying mission driven. This means supporting the Miner experience by giving our community as much normal as we can, by providing resources for teachers through supply funds, funding campus beautification projects and raising overall Miner spirit by rising to the occasion when we find new ways to help one another. Additionally, enriching the GRDC Miner experience by trying new things, by creatively raising funds and establishing new ways to connect and experience community. Lastly, helping to realize the potential of every child by including everyone every chance we get and prioritizing our diversity and inclusion efforts. We have never done school like this before. We have never done PTO like this before. However, we are all in this together and we are Miner community. Together we all want safe, healthy, educated Miners and families who feel they belong. We are so grateful to be together in this with everyone.
We have a wide variety of events planned for this year, most of them new (mostly planned virtually) and some of them rooted in tradition. We hope you can enjoy as many of them as possible and we would love to have you involved in making them happen! We always invite you to seek us out via email or Facebook to find out how you can get involved! There is always a place or event that can use extra hands, special talents or just camaraderie!
On behalf of the GRDC PTO we would once again like to extend a warm welcome and best wishes for a successful school year!
