Inclusion

  • Mariemont is a Full Inclusion Elementary School in the San Juan Unified School District.  Our students with special needs have been fully included in regular classrooms since 1999. Our school goal is to meet ALL students' special needs in a general education setting. Students come to us with various disabilities, including both cognitive and physical. The general classroom teacher works collaboratively with special educators to modify and make the adaptations necessary for those students with identified needs to be successful in the regular classroom.

With all teachers and students working together, we feel that everyone benefits from a program such as ours.
