• We are counting down towards the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) deadline which is due on March 2, 2020. It is highly recommended that all students complete their FAFSA, even if they aren't sure they will qualify or go to college.

Community college applications are also being accepted - DID YOU KNOW?? Los Rios Community College District (which includes American River College, Folsom Lake College, Consumnes River College, Sacramento City College and their satellite campuses) has a Los Rios Promise program that offers free tuition for two (2) years to students who:

    • submit their FAFSA / California Dream Act Applications on time
    • take 12 units or more
    • are a California resident
    • are a first time Los Rios student

It's free to enroll, and your student's tuition could be waived for two years, if your student meets the above criteria! (Sierra College also has a program called Two Years Free, which supports free tuition for 2 years)

If you want your student to get help applying for FAFSA or community college, please go see Ms. Kate in room 33 or contact her via email (kathryn.bartlett@sanjuan.edu) to RSVP for one of the application workshops.
