Emergency Broadband Benefit
The Emergency Broadband Benefit will provide a discount of up to $50 per month towards broadband service for eligible households and up to $75 per month for households on qualifying Tribal lands. Eligible households can also receive a one-time discount of up to $100 to purchase a laptop, desktop computer, or tablet from participating providers if they contribute more than $10 and less than $50 toward the purchase price.
Sacramento Emergency Rental Assistance (SERA2) Program
APPLICATION PERIOD OPENS Tuesday, May 11th, 2021
In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Sacramento Housing and Redevelopment Agency (SHRA), in partnership with the City and the County of Sacramento, through federal and state funding, is offering emergency rent and utilities assistance for renters living anywhere in Sacramento County who have experienced a reduction in household income or other financial hardship due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Eviction Moratorium Extended!
California's Covid-19 Tenant Relief Act extends eviction protections to COVID-19 impacted tenants and establishes the state’s Emergency Rental Assistance Program. The Act extends tenant protections to June 30, 2021.

Food Closet Hours extended. Open EVERY Tuesday 9:00 am - 11:30 am and EVERY Thursday 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm except on non-school days. The Food Closet is also open throughout the Summer.

Return to in-person delayed!
Given the trend in health data in recent weeks, district staff have determined that it is unlikely Sacramento County can reach the red tier in time for a planned Jan. 5 return to modified in-person learning option. To protect the health and safety of students, staff and community, the return to in-person learning is being postponed until health data improves.
Good news for Sacramento renters who need help paying rent due to COVID-19! The deadline to apply for the Sacramento Emergency Rental Assistance (SERA) program has been extended to Thursday, October 29, 2020. The SERA program provides temporary rental assistance to pay past due rent for residents in the cities of Sacramento, Folsom, Isleton and Galt, along with unincorporated County of Sacramento, who are experiencing loss or reduction in income because of COVID-19.

At this time, we are still accepting enrollments for the remainder of the 2019-2020 school year and the 2020-2021 school year. SacRT Free-Fare Transit
***Update*** As our region continues to respond to COVID-19, beginning Monday, March 23 SacRT has temporarily reduced service. Updated Schedule
SacRT will continue "The RydeFreeRT Program" for the 2020-2021 School Year.
This program offers free-fare transit for all youth and students in grades TK – 12. With RydeFreeRT, youth can ride the entire SacRT transit network, including SacRT buses, light rail, and SmaRT Ride transit service. RydeFreeRT is available all day, any day of the week, and all year long during regular SacRT service hours. Take it to school, to work, or anywhere our transit system travels!
The program is set to run for one year from October 1, 2019 through September 30, 2020.
