Emergency Broadband Benefit
The Emergency Broadband Benefit will provide a discount of up to $50 per month towards broadband service for eligible households and up to $75 per month for households on qualifying Tribal lands. Eligible households can also receive a one-time discount of up to $100 to purchase a laptop, desktop computer, or tablet from participating providers if they contribute more than $10 and less than $50 toward the purchase price.Update 5.11.21
Sacramento Emergency Rental Assistance (SERA2) Program
APPLICATION PERIOD OPENS Tuesday, May 11th, 2021
In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Sacramento Housing and Redevelopment Agency (SHRA), in partnership with the City and the County of Sacramento, through federal and state funding, is offering emergency rent and utilities assistance for renters living anywhere in Sacramento County who have experienced a reduction in household income or other financial hardship due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

SacRT Free-Fare Transit
SacRT will continue "The RydeFreeRT Program" for the 2022-2023 School Year.
This program offers free-fare transit for all young people and students in grades TK – 12. With RydeFreeRT, youth can ride the entire SacRT transit network, including SacRT buses, light rail, and SmaRT Ride transit service. RydeFreeRT is available all day, any day of the week, and all year long during regular SacRT service hours. Take it to school, to work, or anywhere our transit system travels!
The program is set to run from June 30, 2022-June 30,2023.
