Spring 2021 Middle and High School Instructional Model
-
Students enrolled in middle and high schools will be offered the options of in-person learning (pending county and state approval) or distance learning for the spring of 2021. Students through grade eight may also enroll in homeschool and students in grade 9-12 may enroll in independent study. Those selecting in-person or distance learning will be offered a modified learning model.
In this model, students choosing to return to in-person learning will be divided into cohorts A and B. This allows for no more than half of the student body to be on campus at any time and reduced class sizes. Students who wish to remain in distance learning will be assigned to cohort C.
On Monday and Tuesday, cohort A students arrive on campus at the start of the school day for three hours. In the afternoon, three hours is provided for teachers to connect with students in cohorts B and C who will not be on campus. Teachers may divide this time differently depending on class and student needs.

In the afternoon, three hours is provided for teachers to connect with students in cohorts A and C who will not be on campus.
