• San Juan Unified’s COVID-19 Dashboard FAQ

To help students, families, and staff members gain insight to the impact COVID-19 is having on our schools, San Juan Unified publishes a COVID-19 dashboard found at www.sanjuan.edu/coviddashboard.

  • What does the dashboard show?

    Posted by:

The dashboard shows CURRENT active COVID-19 cases. A case can be an individual with:

    • Symptoms
    • Exposure to someone who has tested positive for COVID-19
    • A positive test result for COVID-19

  • Does the dashboard show all cases?

    Posted by:

The dashboard reflects only active cases. Once a case is resolved, i.e., through the end of the quarantine period, it is removed from the dashboard count as it is no longer being actively supported by district staff. The dashboard does not currently show a cumulative count of all cases.

  • Where does the data come from?

    Posted by:

All students and staff members are asked to report if they experience COVID-19 symptoms, an exposure to someone who tests positive or receives a positive test result. School administrators and department managers are then responsible for filing an online report with the district’s COVID-19 response team who verifies the accuracy and details of the case and ensures it is reflected appropriately on the dashboard.

  • How often is the dashboard updated?

    Posted by:

Due to the large number of cases currently being experienced, the district’s COVID-19 response coordinator is currently updating the dashboard at the end of each day. This can be anywhere from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. depending on the day’s work load. We recommend checking the dashboard each morning for the latest information.
