State Preschool/Head Start Full Day WRAP

    The San Juan Unified School District's State Preschool/Head Start Full Day WRAP program is created to provide a safe, caring, and educational place for your child.

    The ongoing quality of the program is guaranteed by the excellent cooperation of committed parents and dedicated staff. We value your participation in parent advisory committees, parent meetings, parent conferences, and general support. We are pleased to have an excellent staff who cares about your child and who works to provide a diversified and creative curriculum.
     
     
    Eligibility 

    In order to be eligible for the State Preschool/ Head Start Full Day WRAP Program, children: 

    1) Must have their 3rd birthday on or before September 1st of the upcoming school year.
     
    2) May not turn 5 on or before September 1st of this year. 
     
    3) Must be income eligible.

    State Preschool/Head Start Full Day WRAP Program Schedule

    The WRAP preschool programs are open Monday through Friday for 3 hours of State Preschool and an additional 3.5 hours of Head Start for a total of 6.5 hours of class time daily. Fridays are minimum days, and only run for 3.5 hours in the morning. The program is closed for holidays determined by the District and legal holidays which are:

    • Martin Luther King Day 
    • President's Week 
    • Spring Break 
    • Memorial Day 
    • Independence Day 
    • Labor Day 
    • Veteran's Day 
    • Thanksgiving Break 
    • Winter Break
    • State Preschool/Head Start Full Day WRAP follows the same calendar as the San Juan Unified School District elementary school. Please refer to the School Year Schedule for specific closure dates.
