    Recruitment Bonus

    Newly hired to the district on or after July 1, 2022 to provide service for the 2022/23 School Year:

    • Full-time staff – 4 hours or more per day (determined by position control)
      • The district shall provide a one-time, off-schedule payment of $1,500.
        • The first half ($750) of this one-time, off-schedule payment will be paid no later than 30 days after the last day of the month the employee begins service to the district.
        • The second half ($750) of this one-time, off-schedule payment will be paid no later than June 30, 2023.
        • The second half of this bonus shall not be paid if the employee is separated from the district for any reason before the end of their 2022-2023 work-year calendar.

     

    *PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of Education of the San Juan Unified School District, at a meeting of the Board of Education held on December 14, 2021, the terms of the recruitment bonus outlined herein will replace any other recruitment or signing bonuses in the district that existed prior to December 15, 2021. This one-time, off-schedule payment will not increase an employee’s base compensation for the 2021-2022 or 2022-2023 school years.
