    Hello Charles Peck Families,

Welcome to the 2022-2023 school year.  I am excited to welcome new friends and say hello to our Peck families.  I hope you had a restful summer.  Here are a couple of things you should know to ensure a smooth start to our year of learning together.  Our start and end times have changed this year, so please note the times listed below and keep them handy.  Our morning arrival warning bell rings at 8:50 a.m., giving students 5 minutes to make it to class on time by 8:55 a.m.  If students arrive after 8:55 a.m., they should visit our office to get a "Glad You Are Here" ticket and then make their way safely to class.  Breakfast is available to all students for free; students wishing to have breakfast at school should arrive between 8:20 and 8:50 a.m.  All students at Peck are offered a free lunch but may bring their own if they choose.

    • 1st-5thrd Grad

      • 8:55 - 2:05 (TH)

Also, we are hosting a Meet and Greet Event on Monday, August 8, 2022, from 4:00-5:00 p.m. in conjunction with our Neighborhood Learning Project/Community Resource fair from 4:00-5:30 p.m. Please stop by and meet our staff and pick up a variety of helpful resources and bits of information.  We will have Chromebooks available so you can complete your emergency cards online and update any student/ family information.  The Meet and Greet will be in our cafeteria and the Resource Fair will be in our quad area just outside the cafeteria.

We are planning many engaging opportunities for our students and will be sharing those with you soon.  Our Back to School Night is August 31; we are finalizing the details and will post the session times soon.

Finally, one of my goals is to work on our website to keep it updated and user-friendly throughout the year.  It's a work in progress and please let me know if there is anything you would like to see added to our website and I will do my best to include any information that will help build our home to school connection and is allowable per district rules.

Thanks and have a lovely day!
